Translate Your Website

To translate your website completely, there are several elements you need to address:

  1. Activated Theme:
    • If you are using a child theme, you must translate the parent theme. For example, if you are using the Savior Child theme, you need to translate the Savior theme.
  2. Installed Plugins:
    • For plugins included with Savior, you must translate them manually.
    • For plugins from WordPress.org, check if they are already translated into your language. If not, you will need to translate them manually as well.
  3. Some Options:
    • Some theme and plugin options require manual editing to change the default values. For example, the plugin Mailchimp for WP creates a default form, and you must edit it to change text strings like “Email” and “Name”.

There are two ways to translate themes and plugins on your website: using plugins or Poedit. In the next articles, we will show you how to use them.
